Circulating shelving / paternosters. Function and applications.

SCHMIDT paternosters in the textile industry, for example for the storage of bolts of cloth or warp beams, are shelving systems with powered internal structure. They are used to store goods on circulating horizontal carriers. In contrast with static shelving and storage systems, they bring the goods to you. This eliminates back-and-forth work and time, access time is drastically reduced, and storage costs can thus be reduced. Circulating shelving offers the perfect opportunity for automation of computer-controlled picking processes.
